One year ago
I set out into uncharted territory.
It all started when I clicked the little button marked:
PUBLISH
Would any one find me out there in the blogosphere????
And if they did, what would they say????
I made a commitment to myself that I would give it ONE YEAR.
Rain or shine.
There were many times I felt like giving up.
What's the use?
Who would care?
But I held fast to my commitment and I'm glad I did.
I ( like Sally Field) am so happy to say
You really like me!!!
All kidding aside;
Though my band of followers is small, it has meant the world to me.
I am grateful for each and every comment.
It means something for someone to take the extra moment to leave a kind word.
Through this little adventure I have met so many nice people,
visited so many lovely homes...
and learned much about myself.
I am proud of myself for taking the leap.
I have enjoyed this past year, learning ,growing and sharing here at my
little Dressed Up Cottage.
So right here, right now ,
I want to say a personal thank you to
each and every one of you.
So here goes:

Happy, happy Blogiversary, my Bestie! You have managed to capture the little things that bring the simple and quiet joy that make life worth living.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how, although the grand and opulent things can be, indeed, grand, they are never as wonderful as the sweet little things that we experience on a day-to-day basis that make us smile?
The spring's first buds. Mr.Wonderful's projects of love. A pair of fuzzy slippers in front of a fire. A dog's wet nose. A little girl's fairy wings.
There are many of us out there who love the same things you do, Lizzie. A few leave comments; most do not, but you are still touching all of our hearts and making us remember and appreciate the little things that make life beautiful. You are beautiful, Lizzie.
Oh that is the sweetest thing ever!!!! Thank you so much for such a beautiful comment. If I ever feel discouraged I will read over this sweet reply and hold it in my heart.
DeleteThank you my wonderful friend.

Congratulations on your one year! I love coming over to your blog :) I've been MIA as per usual from the blog world as medicine is all-consuming, but I do read! It's nice to see a fellow Philosophy, Jane Austen, Tea Cup-loving friend out there! :) Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to see that you have stopped by; especially knowing how busy you are. Thanks for the well wishes on my one year. It's hard to believe that it's been a year already.
