~ Twas the night before Christmas ~

Twas the night before Christmas

and all through the house
not a creature was stirring

except for a yellow dog
with Reindeer antlers on her head.

The goodies have all been baked

with that touch of citrus that always smells like Christmas to me.

The Chandelier draped with greenery

The table was set in it's Red and White finery
in hopes that Grand children soon would be here

The big Guy himself was the main theme this year
with a Santa at every place setting

With touches of Silver here and there
mismatched vintage silver trays serve as chargers

The silver is picked up by the vintage Art-Deco wine glasses

 handed down to me
by Mr/ Wonderful's Mother.

With a nod of approval from an angel watching over the dining room festivities

The only thing left to do now, is wait for Saint Nicholas
to make his appearance.

So from The Dressed Up Cottage:

Merry Christmas to all
And to all a Good Night

    1. Kerri, don't let that pretty picture of Baby Kitty fool you. She is also known as Ali Babbah Kitty, the local terrorist. But we love her anyway.
Merry Christmas to you and your Lizzie

    2. Merry Christmas Terri! Just wanted to let you know I put my blog on private for a few days. Unfortunately I was getting some rude and spam-ish comments from some person and decided to take it off public for a bit. I'll let you know when it's back. Ugh.. some people have too much time on their hands and have no good intentions. Hope you had a lovely Christmas day!

    3. :( Sad to hear that Kerri. I don't know why any one would take the TIME to leave rude comments anywhere. Keep me posted. Happy New Year!

  10. Came by from Cozy Little House. I love your adorable dog!! What a sweet Christmas face. We lost our sweet big girl about two months ago and I'm just now warming up to adding to our family.

What did you use for the greenery on your chandy? That's a gorgeous simple decoration and adds such a huge impact.

    1. Another friendly visitor from Cozy Little House. How lucky am I? I'm sorry to hear you lost a wonderful friend a few months ago. It surely leaves a hole in our lives. We had a beautiful Golden who was sorely missed when she passed. But our Lizzie is doing her best to fill every moment with love.
      Thanks for stopping by.

    2. The greenery on the chandy is simiply little faux evergreen wreaths on each chandy arm and then a garland of cinnamon sticks and berries and mini pine cones that I wove through the bottom of the chandy. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks

  11. Dear Terri, your Christmas table looked beautiful, love the silver trays as chargers, and your sweet dog......thank you for your comment today on my blog...I really had a very small kitchen prior to the reno, and we decided to knock down all the walls to make one big open space, so that made room for the two islands. My home is really very modest Terri, but the open concept is something I have always wanted......wishing you every joy of the season, N.xo
